Taliska Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Right... I'm sitting in the driver's seat and wife comes along and can't open the tailgate. I then jump out of the car to open the tailgate, because somehow I'm being awkward. :) There's something afoot here... and I'm not quite sure what it is... This has happened on more than one occasion and somehow it's never an opportune moment to try to analyse the situation with a wife wanting to open the tailgate and then come and clobber me... Methinks there's some combination where the boot is kept locked - engine running perhaps with maybe foot on brake too? :) Can anyone else enlighten me? Denis Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Yes, the tailgate is meant to behave this way. The idea is, if you were stuck in traffic someone could climb into the car via the tailgate and.. who knows. The interlock is disabled for a period when you open the drivers door. Quote
